Book Review – Traveler’s Rest by Ann Tatlock

Relationships are complicated. Dating relationships are even more complicated. Add to a long distance military relationship the reality of a life-altering injury and the complication increases even more.

Traveler’s Rest  by Ann Tatlock explores the story of Jane Morrow. She is the fiancé of Seth Ballantine a member of the National Guard who has returned from Iraq as a quadriplegic. Seth does not seem to want her in his life, and yet she knows that she still loves him. This book investigates the emotional journey that Jane travels.

Traveler’s Rest is well written with intricate details and an easy-to-follow plot. Ann Tatlock paints a beautiful picture of each of the locations and people in her story.

If you want a great read that will tug at your heart strings, then this is the book for you. As I was reading, it provoked thoughts of what it must be like to be a family member of one of the brave men and women who fight for our country. It made me appreciate even more the sacrifice that these brave people have made.

Traveler’s Rest is available at Amazon, CBD, or wherever books are sold.
