Monkey Bread

1 stick of butter or margarine
1 can biscuits
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon

Cut each biscuit into pieces. I normally cut them into fourths, but for smaller hands you may want to cut them smaller.
Mix cinnamon and sugar. Roll biscuit pieces in mixture until thoroughly coated.
Melt stick of butter and pour in bottom of a loaf pan. (This gives a gooey syrup at the bottom, like sticky buns. You can omit the butter for a healthier recipe.) Place all biscuit pieces in pan. Don't worry if there are gaps and cracks. These will fill in as it bakes.
Top with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 30 minutes.

This is one time when it is okay to play with your food. Break off a piece and enjoy. You can't eat just one piece!

  1. My mom use to make monkey bread when I was growing up. She would usually make it when we had out of town company! It's been a long time since I heard of it! Thanks for sharing!

Hi everyone! I am so glad that you dropped by. So, tell me, what did you think of this post?
